S.O.S.

We understand how hopeless you can feel when involved with the Local Authority and the family courts. In this section we hope to provide a place of support and advice for vulnerable families. Here are some of the most useful websites we have found so far:

ORGANISATIONS FOR CHILDREN IN DISTRESS:

https://www.childline.org.uk – Call free 0800 1111

https://www.nspcc.org.uk

Please also go to the ‘Your Rights’ section to ensure your rights are being upheld

ORGANISATIONS FOR DADS and MUMS IN DISTRESS:

Dads Unlimited – Supporting the emotional safety of men and those they care about (dadsunltd.org.uk) – this organisation offers support for men suffering from domestic abuse

We Are Fathers4Justice – The Official Campaign Organisation (fathers-4-justice.org) – This organisation offers legal help for fathers going through child contact and family issues

Male Victims of Domestic Abuse – Please call 01823 334244 to speak to us confidentially – (mankind.org.uk)

Refuge – For women and children. Against domestic abuse. – this organisation offers support for women and children suffering domestic abuse

https://mckenzie-friend.org.uk – this organisation can help you through the family court process if you cannot afford a solicitor

https://transparencyproject.org.uk

According to the NSPCC, if your children are witnessing domestic abuse or violence, this is now classed as child abuse, therefore even if you are the victim of the abuse, you are also seen as a perpetrator of child abuse.

We hope to add more to this section as we become more involved with the public and professionals. Remember you are not alone. As we grow, we will be aiming to provide financial help to those in need of legal support in regards to their rights and their children.

Whilst we are already receiving large numbers of emails, we do aim to respond to all as soon as we can.
